This film is based on a short gothic poem of mine, Chiaroscuro. The poem will be narrated over the title score composed by D. Geoffrey Bell. The film will run at about two minutes. Various drawing and painting media will be used. The theme is visual and emotional, rather than logical, with an interplay and weaving of opposites, like light and dark, love and death, earth and sky.

The various images from the poem metamorphose and move in a dreamlike, symbolist pattern whose meaning is left open to individual interpretation.
