Group K of Series Y marks the start of the coins previously catalogued as Class III
The line through the pupil that appeared in the last group is absent here. The small loop at the front of the neck is enlarged to harmonize better with the rest of the composition. The die engraver abandons the old style of having a pellet for the pony's eye, and now uses the only the 'V' cut into the cheek section. On a couple of dies he does play with this design a bit, once reverting to the previous design, and once having neither a pellet nor a "V" cut to indicate an eye.
